About Abd Almonam
My name is Abed. I am an electrical engineer based in Sharjah with a Master's degree from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden and a Bachelor's degree from the American University of Sharjah. I have more than five years of professional experience in engineering and have published four research papers through the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
I offer tutoring in Physics, Mathematics, and MATLAB for school and university students, in Arabic and English.
I understand what it feels like to sit in a lecture and leave with more questions than answers. I have been through both a rigorous undergraduate program and a demanding postgraduate degree, and I know which parts of these subjects trip students up and why. That experience shapes every session I give.
My approach is patient, structured, and focused on genuine understanding rather than shortcuts. I do not rush through material. I do not move on until the student is confident. And I do not treat mistakes as problems; I treat them as the starting point for real learning.
Students working with me can expect clear explanations, honest feedback, and a tutor who takes their progress seriously.
I teach secondary school students preparing for IGCSE, IB, American curriculum, and EmSAT examinations, as well as university students in engineering programs who need structured support with technical subjects.
Lessons are available online and in person in Sharjah.

My name is Abd Almonam, and I am an electrical engineer with a Master's degree from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden and a Bachelor's from the American University of Sharjah. I have over five years of hands-on professional experience in RF engineering and wireless systems, and I have published four peer-reviewed papers in IEEE journals and conferences. I bring both academic depth and real industry practice into every lesson.
How I teach:
I do not believe in dictating notes or rushing through formulas. My approach starts with understanding why something works before we look at how. When a student understands the logic behind a concept, they stop memorizing and start thinking and that is what gets marks in exams and clarity in university courses.
I teach in Arabic and English, switching between both when needed. Many engineering students in the UAE learned their subject in English but think in Arabic, and that gap causes confusion. I bridge it.
Every session begins with a short check of what the student already understands, not to test them, but to know where to start. We then work through problems together step by step, with me asking questions rather than just explaining. By the end of each lesson, I want the student to be able to solve a similar problem alone.
Lesson length and structure:
A typical lesson runs 60 to 90 minutes. Shorter sessions lose momentum. Longer sessions lose focus. We cover one or two topics per session, never more.
Who my lessons are for:
High school students in Years 10 to 12 studying Physics and Mathematics. I am experienced with IGCSE, IB, American curriculum, and EmSAT preparation.
University students in engineering programs who are struggling with subjects like Engineering Mathematics, Electric Circuits, Signals and Systems, or MATLAB.
Students who need explanations in Arabic, in English, or in both.
I do not use a fixed script. Every student learns differently, and I adjust accordingly. If something I explain does not click, I will find three other ways to explain it until it does.
