About MOHAMMAD ARMAN
I’m a Ph.D. scholar and Casual Academic at UNSW Sydney with a strong academic background, holding a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from one of the top Indian institutes, IIT Guwahati. My passion for teaching, combined with my academic background, makes me excited to help students excel in these subjects. I specialize in Geotechnical Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics, and I am deeply committed to making complex concepts more accessible and understandable.

My teaching philosophy as an engineering educator is based on engagement, interaction, and practical understanding in a one-to-one learning environment. I believe teaching should not be a one-way process where the student only listens. Instead, it should be an active discussion where the student feels comfortable asking questions and thinking deeply about the subject.
I encourage questions because they help develop critical thinking and curiosity. In engineering, I believe students should not only learn concepts but also understand why they work and how they can be applied. That is why I like to connect theoretical ideas with practical examples, so the student can understand the concept more clearly and meaningfully.
I also adapt my pace according to the student’s response and level of understanding. In one-to-one teaching, I believe flexibility is important because it helps make learning more effective and personal.
Overall, I want my teaching to help the student think critically, stay curious, and connect theory with practice in a meaningful way.
