About Chuka
Hey! My name is Chuka Nwobodo, and I am passionate about helping students like you unlock their full potential and achieve academic success. I have spent over five years teaching both online and in the classroom, and I hold a Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Imperial College London, one of the top universities in the world.
As I progressed through my studies, I realised that my passion wasn’t just for understanding complex ideas myself, but for breaking them down and making them accessible to others. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a student go from confusion to clarity and witnessing that “aha!” moment when things click into place.
I want to teach because I believe education is transformative. It’s not just about getting the right answers or passing exams! It’s about learning how to think critically, solve problems, and hone the ability to navigate the complex world around you more effectively. I want to help you develop the tools and mindset that will help you succeed in your studies and empower you to approach any challenge in life with confidence.
I know that learning can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when faced with difficult subjects or exams. That’s why I use visual storytelling and science-based techniques to make the learning process engaging and productive. Together, we will not only work on understanding your subjects but also build your confidence and motivation to keep pushing forward.

I use a student-centred approach that focuses on personalising each session to meet the individual needs, goals, and learning styles of my students.
I begin by assessing a student’s current level, learning preferences, and goals. This allows me to tailor the lesson plan so that we can target areas that need improvement while building on their existing strengths.
I break down complex ideas into easy-to-understand, bite-sized pieces. This ensures that students don’t just memorise facts but actually understand the core concepts, allowing them to apply this knowledge in various contexts.
I constantly aim to challenge students at the right level. By identifying where their skills currently are and where they can stretch just a little further, I keep the learning process engaging and help them build confidence progressively.
I incorporate elements of gamification and visual storytelling in my lessons. For instance, I create animations and interactive exercises to make abstract concepts more relatable. These methods help keep students motivated and make learning enjoyable.
Drawing from extensive research and practical experience, I introduce my students to scientifically backed study techniques that enhance retention and understanding. These methods help them study smarter, not harder.
A typical lesson lasts 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the needs of the student.
I hold a Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Imperial College London, a top-tier institution. This background equips me with a comprehensive understanding of STEM subjects.
With over five years of experience teaching both online and in the classroom, I’ve developed a holistic set of skills in delivering lessons that resonate with students across various levels. Whether one-on-one or in group settings, I adapt my teaching style to ensure that every student feels supported.
Having spent over 10,000 hours mastering STEM subjects, I bring a wealth of knowledge and an engineer’s mindset to problem-solving, helping students tackle even the most difficult topics with ease.
My work as a YouTube science animator also adds a creative flair to my teaching, where I bring abstract scientific concepts to life through animations and visualisations.
My lessons are ideal for those studying STEM subjects at the KS3, KS4, or KS5 levels.
