About Diana
I am an Engineering graduate with a strong background in environmental science, research, and community engagement. My experience includes working as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at both Stanford University and Princeton University, where I focused on energy systems and climate modeling. I also have hands-on experience as a Research Volunteer at the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve and an Environmental Intern at The San Diego Regional Climate Collaborative. In addition, I have contributed to the development of databases and dashboards for meteorological data at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, demonstrating my technical and collaborative abilities.
As a tutor, I draw from my extensive research and academic background to help students navigate complex subjects. My previous tutoring roles have ranged from assisting undergraduate students in engineering and environmental science at the University of San Diego to mentoring underrepresented students in STEM fields through the TRIO Student Support Services program. I am passionate about fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment, where I guide students through problem-solving techniques and provide mentorship that helps them succeed in their academic and career aspirations. My ability to teach in both English and Spanish allows me to connect with a diverse range of students.
