About KAVIYA
Knowledge sharing among peers plays an important role in students’ learning process.The primary motives of sharing knowledge were to improve understanding of the concepts discussed in the class and to build relationships with classmates.Academic institutions need to think about alternative assessment methods to reduce direct competition among
students. In addition, this study has also identified certain other barriers to knowledge sharing. It is,
therefore, desirable that educators and education planners should take appropriate measures to minimize such barriers to knowledge sharing which in turn are likely to strengthen students’ believe on the value of knowledge sharing.
