About WIlliam
My name is William Smith, I am a third year engineering student studying at QUT who achieved an ATAR of 98.65 and marks of 100/100 and 98/100 for specialist maths, mathematical methods, physics, and chemistry respectively. In addition to my high school achievements, I was appointed a spot in the esteemed REAL leaders program, formerly know as the Dean's scholars program, at QUT, and have received The executive Dean's recognition of academic acheivement award in all 8 semesters of study I have undertook for acheiving an average GPA of over 6.625. In terms of experience, I have been an active tutor for 3 years and have graduated from QUT'S peer leader program. My goal as a tutor is to help build confidence in highschool and early university students in an effort to help them reach their potential and acheive their goals.

As a tutor, I believe the best approach to teaching a new student is to openly listening to them, as I believe that the student knows what they need more than anyone else. I follow this methodology strongly and make sure to communicate consistently with my students and structure my lessons to focus on there concerns, but also, I direct my focus towards ensuring my lessons challenge and test my students on all aspects of the subject to maximise their potential. My lessons would range from 1-2 hours depending on the students request. My previous experience as a tutor is through helping year 7-12 students with math and physics. Additionally, I have done volunteer roles through my school and university. My combined total experience is 300+ hours. My lessons are for year 11 and 12 highschool students studying any of maths specialist, methods, and physics.

If the travel time is longer than 20 minutes due to the current cost of fuel a slight travel surcharge of $5 will be added. This surcharge increases by $5 every 10 minutes past 20.
