About Lily
I am currently in my third year of Engineering at UQ, and graduated from high school completing Maths B and C as well as Physics, Study of Religion and English in 2019. I am very confident in tutoring any of these subjects for any school-aged student, especially maths, and believe the extra active learning hours will help your child excel in their subject! Over the last 2 years I have tutored a range of students from year 6 to year 12 across all subjects, but most predominantly maths, and have loved watching them excel in their subjects. I believe in active learning, which involves working through examples through both hands on and online activities. These activities will be suited to your child’s age and needs, and is an extremely effective way for a student to understand and remember a topic. Additionally, a method that has worked for me in the past is breaking topics down so a student can understand the fundamentals of what they are learning, and gradually increasing the difficulty of questions for good practice and further understanding.
