I myself learn by doing it myself and this is what i mainly focus on getting my students to do. The lesson structure usually go for 1 or two hours and begin with a recap of lessons past learnt. Then discuss what will be taught on that day, following this i will teach the theory to a good understanding including examples. Finally we will spend atleast half of the lesson doing problems for yourself, these problems can be from a textbook or i can write them for you.
My learning philosophy is: Don'd do it until you get it right, do it until you don't get it wrong.
Been tutoring since i was in Year 10. Graduated high school with VCE Mathematics prize. I have tutored 6 Students so far all in middle to upper high school. All of these students have gained the knowledge that they needed to pass the exams that they wished to.
