About Sarah
Hello! I'm Sarah, and I will be your tutor for Maths grinds! As an Engineering Student in Trinity College Dublin, I really do get the stress that Maths can put on students, at all levels of study. Everyone learns differently, and sometimes the school environment is just not helpful for certain people, which is why a tailored experience to learning can be so helpful in building confidence in a student.
As I mentioned, studying Engineering means having to constantly take in new Mathematics concepts to apply to other assignments at the drop of a hat. This means I have mastered LEARNING, rather than Maths. It is more about a way of thinking, than having to memorise a whole range of concepts. I really hope I can instil this method of practicing Maths so that you can spend much less energy and stress on the upcoming exams!
In order for this to work for you, I will assess your abilities in relation to the course requirements, and from there I will build up a list of topics and skills that we can work on together, in conjunction with your school learning. These grinds are about forming a strategy and skillset to face exams, and give you a confidence in the daunting idea of the Junior and Leaving Certificate.

I will guide you through the curriculum and help you understand the requirements for Maths in the Junior and Leaving Cert. It's not so scary when you understand whats going on! I will help you build a core understanding of the topics that will come up so that you can adapt your skills for any scenario you face in your exams.
I can offer an hour long lesson, which should be an appropriate length for reviewing past lessons and introducing new topics.
As per my qualifications, I obtained an A and a H1 in my Junior and Leaving Cert respectively, and have further training in Calculus and Algebra due to my Engineering Course progress.
Ideally, these classes are for students facing the JC and LC, but I am open to taking on students outside of this group, provided that I am suited for your learning needs.
