About Chenoa
Hello! I'm Chenoa, a sophomore studying Environmental Engineering. Since August 2024, I've been tutoring math and helping students at various skill levels. To be completely transparent, I didn’t enjoy math until college—mostly because I didn’t understand it. But once I took my first math class as an undergrad, I began to truly enjoy the subject and teaching it. No matter where you’re starting from with math, remember—people have mastered it before you, and they will continue to do so after you. What makes you the exception?

My teaching approach focuses on building confidence and reinforcing understanding. When a student asks a question, I follow up with another question to assess their knowledge and ensure they grasp the concept fully. This helps students become more confident in their skills and solidifies their understanding of the material. As a tutor, I adapt my approach to each student's specific needs and learning pace. I assess their understanding of the material by asking targeted questions, and then provide clarification or additional examples where necessary. I also encourage active problem-solving to reinforce learning and ensure the material is applied correctly. My lessons are for highschool and college students who need additional support in their math classes.
