About Karlien
I am a Language teacher. I have taught both English and Afrikaans as a second language for a couple of years to numerous students - from the age of 5 to adults. I have a degree in Language and Literature, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, and a certificate in teaching English as a foreign language.

My teaching method varies from total physical response to the grammar translation method. I adapt my teaching methodology to the needs of the student. I love using props and real-life situations to teach and introduce new vocabulary. I believe no two people learn at the same pace or in the same way, therefore patience is a vital role in language learning.
