About Merrie
I have several years of experience teaching at a college level. I also have experience tutoring students of different levels. I know how to work with students from many different backgrounds and environments. Most of my experience involves teaching English, writing, and helping students understand how to revise and edit.

I begin my lesson with seeing where you are in English and writing, and what you need and want to improve. We set goals and work on those goals. What goals we set not only depends on where you are and what you need to work on, but also how many lessons we plan on doing (are you planning on doing one tutoring lesson on something specific, or will you be doing a few?)
My lessons are typically supplemental lessons to help you with a specific skill or assignment. I tailor my lesson to each student's particular needs.
