About Nicole
I have worked as a Studiosity tutor and specialist for three years, which has allowed me to carefully hone my lessons and feedback while benefiting from a rigorous mentoring program. Through this platform, I tutored in English and proofread for students from elementary, secondary, and post-secondary schools.
Additionally, I have several decades of customer service experience, and genuinely enjoy meeting new people and helping them reach their personal, professional, and academic goals.
Inspired by watching the process of my own young children as they learn and practice English, I have moved into teaching younger students and setting them up for success in their language journey.

I follow an interactive method involving fun props, signs and music to teach English to young Level 0, Level 1, and Level 2 ESL students.
My extensive history as a proofreader and editor has honed my attention to detail, while my life as a mom to young kids has helped me understand what is needed to motivate students to learn. Several years as a tutor with Studiosity have demonstrated my teaching ability with a caring, personal edge.
A typical lesson starts with a fun, friendly warmer, moves to a thorough and interactive presentation of the language, and allows for some interactive practise time. I make sure to address any areas of difficulty while providing lots of rewards!
