About Alicia
I hold a BA in English, an MA in English, and an MFA in Poetry. I have taught college composition, world and American literature, and I have tutored students one-on-one in writing for the the last 13 years.
I enjoy helping students with the concepts of writing, grammar, and mechanics in order to increase their ability and confidence as writers, improve their grades, and help them to become better writers overall.

Lessons are usually tailored to focus on one of the following three areas: organization (thesis, paragraph development, etc.), grammar and mechanics, or source citation (MLA or APA).
I have 26 years experience teaching and tutoring English in a higher education setting, and my lessons are best suited for high school and college students, with a focus on composition and rhetoric.
