About JIll

I am a qualified teacher having worked in Colleges in the Hobart area (mainly Claremont) and do Relief teaching during school terms. I have spent a lot of time helping people settle into Tasmania and have many friends from countries such as Africa - Rwanda, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Congo; Afghanistan; Nepal (Bhutan), and Burma (Koren). I am a member of BCC Africa who support two orphanages in Kenya. I travelled to Kenya in August this year and spent time at both orphanages in Nairobi and Mwea. I have a strong background in health, nursing and sport.

About the lesson

I base my teaching on a students needs.
I prefer a practical/ hands-on approach and want to make the lessons fun and realistic.
I really understand how hard it is to understand our Australian accent, our "words" for different things including reading mail from Centrelink, Medicare etc.
