As an English teacher in primary school, I made the children listen carefully before speaking. Every good conversation starts with good listening. Show a word first in its oral form using visual aids.

Indu is an English student’s secret weapon. I am a former pupil of Indu and now live in Australia. I am a fully-qualified physiotherapist and graduated from Australia’s finest medical school. I was privileged enough to meet Indu when my family discovered she was our neighbour. For years, I received Indu’s tuition every school holidays. She boosted my vocabulary, essay-writing skills and presentation skills. She made me fall in love with literature. In fact, I believe, I am still reaping the rewards of her tutelage - now I’m a senior executive at one of Melbourne’s largest hospitals; I present to the board, our staff, students and external stakeholders on a daily basis. I started seeing Ma’am for private tuition in November last year. She is extremely kind, patient and her English is impeccable. She has helped me improve my English marks and my confidence with public speaking. In fact, my principal has now asked me to represent my school at a state-wide students’ summit! Indu is a fantastic teacher! She is patience personified and very result oriented. She is well versed in her subject and makes it a point to prepare a plan for the class beforehand so that the lesson is handled in a smooth manner.
