About Carlin
I have formerly taught English as a Foreign Language (EFL) to adults at a language school in Sydney. I have completed the Cambridge certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA), and I have an undergraduate degree in English literature. I have written high level academic essays and received high distinctions at university. I now work as a transcriber in an office in the Sydney CBD.

I have a very relaxed approach to learning. I prefer to avoid complex grammar points, rote learning, or grammar exercises. I would much rather just talk and have a conversation!
We can:
- Simply talk in English about anything (life experiences, your home culture, et cetera), and I can provide any kind of feedback you want.
- Write an essay/speech/presentation together, and we can go through it and make it sound professional, or you can bring me anything you've already written and we can do the same thing.
However, if you really like grammar and want to understand specific grammar points better, we can do that too! Just let me know what you would like to focus on and we can go from there.
