About Kristian
I studied French with a Year Abroad at university and I generally love languages! When I was in school and at Sixth Form French was always my favourite subject (I was a bit of a teacher's pet), but as a result I have a good understanding of how challenging language exams can be! Whether it's GCSEs, A level projects or Degree level presentations.
I have some experience working as a teaching assistant for KS3, GCSE and A level students, so I'm familiar with most exam boards and I'm well aware of how daunting preparing for those exams are.
As a result, I generally like my students to lead their own progress. You decide what you would like to cover and when and you decide how long we cover it. This way, I'm able to guide you as you learn and improve. Be it for an exam, in preparation for a trip to France or for your own pleasure.

As I stated, I like my students to lead their own progress. As a result, you would let me know in advance which topics or areas of grammar you would like to cover, and I will prepare resources (be it online worksheets, small pieces of reading, youtube videos or songs, and news articles) to support us while we study it.
In terms of progress and assessment, we will establish an aim once we start looking at an area of study, and additionally establish more short term aims for each session. This way, we have a clear record of progress. Additionally, assessment can be applied via either a short test or a quiz (written or spoken depending on the topic and your aims). This applies for all learners, from first timers to degree level students.
It's also important to me that you enjoy language lessons, so at the end of every session, I will introduce a piece of French music or film to peak your interest.
