About Sophie
As well as getting A*AB at A-level (the B is currently under appeal), I also got an A in my EPQ, so can help with how best to tackle project and coursework. Prior to this I achieved all 9s in my academic subjects at GCSE (Maths, English Language & Literature, all three sciences, French and History), so can also provide general help across a broad range of GCSEs if that is what you need. I also have experience with entrance examinations, having passed one to get my Cambridge offer, and having been successful at 11+.
Whilst I do not have any formal tutoring experience (yet!), I believe this is reflected in my prices, so for a while at least you could be getting a bargain!
I do have lots of experience working with young people, though. I have done voluntary work both as a Young Leader in Scouting and more recently at a school in Gambia. And through my role as a History Subject Ambassador at school I have helped with History "clinic" sessions to support struggling students, and also led informative and engaging assemblies in front of the whole school.

Personable and Personalised!
As I am a lot closer in age to the people I have helped in the past, I often find they can engage with me more easily than with adults. Having taken the exams more recently I know the current content first hand, and have plenty of pragmatic ideas on how to succeed.
And as I have a broad mix of subject knowledge and study skills I can tailor my lessons to exactly what is needed for your child to get the best results possible.
