About Tariq
I am a first year engineering student at UQ. Having graduated from high school last year with an OP1 I enjoy helping students learn. In year 12 I studied Maths B (VHA), Maths C (VHA), Chemistry (VHA), Physics (VHA), Music (VHA), Music Extension (VHA) and English (HA). I also completed a university maths subject in semester one of year 12 MATH1051(calculus and linear algebra) achieving a 6. Music is a passion of mine and consequently I play cello and drum kit and am comfortable teaching people how to read music and theory up to AMEB Grade 3.

If you know it move on. When I am tutoring students my first goal is to find out what they can't do. Once I have done that I find the best way to teach is to ask leading questions to develop their problem solving skills. This allows students to think about the problem and reason with it making them follow a thought process rather than a method or rule. I believe this method of learning and thinking is key to understanding the concepts.
