About Sahejpreet

I am a girl who loves talking and to talk, you need to know how to speak a language. I like teaching because it empowers people and allows them to gain knowledge that will help them. In the case of a language, like English, teaching helps people communicate well, which is the most important aspect of society - being able to connect with other people, whether it is for work or simply because.

About the lesson

I believe in teaching languages by associating them with our everyday lives, and not just by the books. From how words sound to interpreting their meanings in figures of speech, I work on helping students experience the language in context, through conversations, real-life scenarios, and media such as music, movies, or articles. I try to make learning memorable, practical, and enjoyable, so that students not only understand the rules of the language but also develop confidence in using it naturally. I think a session of about 60 to 90 minutes is important to get a new concept across, whereas a quick 50-minute session works for discussing literature or poetry. I myself have studied English as an academic subject for more than 12 years, not to mention that all my higher studies have been in this language. I am a fluent speaker with bilingual proficiency, and have taught many non-English speakers the language from scratch. My lessons are great for students from elementary up to middle school, who might still be learning the language. I can also teach high school students if I am told what they need help with. Anyone who is not a student but wants to learn English - please hit me up!
