About Lucas
A friendly but professional tutor that truly understands the position that students are in. I have a passion to help younger learners advance in their studies and achieve the grades that they want.
I currently study Aviation Technology with management and Pilot Studies at the University of Leeds. Prior to this, I achieved 3 A*s in Maths, Physics, and Spanish at A levels and 9s in Maths and Physics at GCSE.

I aim to create a warm and friendly learning environment, getting to know the strengths and weaknesses of each individual student and tailoring the sessions accordingly.
I will use google meets to host the sessions coupled with google docs to provide lesson sheets with relevant practice questions. Finally, google sheets will allow both students and parents to keep track of progress; I will use this to predict grades and as a place for easy access to extra learning resources and well as previous lessons.
Tutoring will be tailored to the individual, following the course syllabus whilst cohering with the student's lessons in school. I will enhance teaching by providing a range of practice questions and support this with the understanding required to excel in the topics covered. I believe practicing questions, understanding content, and knowing how to strategically answer questions is the key to exam success therefore aim to cover all of these points in my tutoring.
From completing past papers and exams myself I am aware of the struggles that students face and therefore can advise on exam strategies that helped me to achieve 9's at GCSE and A*'s in A level.
I'm looking to take on students that are looking to improve their grades in maths GCSE or A-Level. I have flexible availability to accommodate to all needs.
