About Claudia

I am a professional Spanish tutor with more than six years of teaching experience and a Bachelor’s degree in language teaching. I hold certifications to teach languages, and I continuously enroll in training programs to refine my skills and teaching practices. I have taught in face-to-face, blended, and online environments, working with private students as well as groups of 10 to 30 learners. Before being a teacher, I am a language learner myself. As a fluent English speaker, I understand the challenges and rewards of learning a new language. My name is Claudia Diaz and Spanish is my mother tongue, I'm a passionate, enthusiastic, creative and patient teacher with 6 years of experience teaching languages. I'm familiar with different educational methodologies, aimed at supporting a student academically, emotionally, and socially. My teaching techniques are student-centered and I take into consideration students’ different learning styles, including a variety of activities in my lessons, in which the main skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) are integrated. I apply the communicative approach so that learners have the opportunity to use the language in situations that resemble those of real life, encouraging interaction all the time. Teaching children It's well-known that children learn through vivid experiences and that is why my lessons offer a variety of activities to make learning an enjoyable experience. I not only include online interactive activities in my lessons, but also activities in which students use their five senses to learn (songs, realia, hands-on activities). In addition, my language lessons also include sociocultural aspects and situations to build up respect, tolerance and appreciation for the different cultures represented in language learning settings.
