About Leny

I am a Los Angeles–based multidisciplinary artist working in photography, painting, assemblage, mixed media, and installation. I received a BFA in Photography and a BA in Liberal Arts with honors from Parsons School of Design in New York City.

My work is included in the permanent collection of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and has been exhibited in more than 30 group exhibitions, including at the Santa Monica Museum of Art, Barnsdall Art Center, and the and the The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego.

I have collaborated on projects with Netflix, H&M, Burt’s Bees, and the Academy of Motion Pictures. I received an Award of Appreciation from the City of Los Angeles for my work as an art educator at the Braille Institute, where I teach art to blind and visually impaired students. I also lead creative workshops across Los Angeles for disabled and disadvantaged communities.

After surviving a life-altering accident that left me paralyzed for months, I devoted myself fully to my studio practice, transitioning from a corporate creative career working with celebrities to working as a fine artist and, after relearning to walk, an educator.

About the lesson

Want to loosen up creatively and make art you’re actually excited about? My classes are hands-on, experimental, and designed to help you break out of perfectionism and find your own style. We explore painting, collage, photography, and mixed media—no pressure, just real creativity.

I’m a working artist whose work is in the collection of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and I teach at the Braille Institute, so you’ll learn both creative techniques and real insight into the art world.
