About Julie

I have a college degree on performing arts and dramaturgy from Institut del Teatre Barcelona.
I also got acting training In Mumbai in the famous school Barry John acting studio 2 years ago.
I am trained on Meisner Technique, Body expression techniques as Jacques Lecoq, and Stanislavski method.
All this techniques are completely diferent from each other but the way to become a good actor is to learn all the techniques which are created to tap into your emotions and imagination and then see what works for you as every person has a complete diferent way to achieve it.

About the lesson

At first I use improvization exercises , and body expression exercises if the person is a beginner, in order to get him or her used to selfexpression without inhibitions.
If its a group I also use group dinamic techniques for them to connect to each other on emotional level as that is crucial for acting.
After this I use Meisner technique exercises, to develop imagination as well as being present in the moment, to bring genuine reactions to imaginary situations.
After that I teach Stanislavski technique in order to have some tools to tap into heavier emotions if the scene requiers it. Stanislavski technique is based on finding sources of emotion from your personal life and relating that to an specific situation from an scene.
I also teach memoritzation techniques to be able to repeat the lines on the script as if it were natural words.

First of all, spanish is Julie’s mother tongue, so I think this is a great advantage. She’s great organising every class to make learning very easy (and even funny). She also has great skills teaching to students with different knowledge of the language. I really recommend her as a spanish teacher
