About Eric
As your prospective teacher, I want to assure you of my unwavering commitment to professionalism and my dedication to inspiring your musical journey. My path in the world of music has been marked by significant achievements and experiences that have not only shaped my abilities but have also deepened my passion for the art.
Securing a full scholarship from the Klassikal Music Foundation during my academic tenure at St. Scholastica's College in Manila was a pivotal moment in my life. This recognition validated my dedication to music and allowed me to immerse myself fully in my studies, setting the stage for a promising musical career.
Throughout my educational journey, I have embraced a diverse range of roles and performances, each contributing to my growth as an artist. One such standout moment was when I portrayed Tadeo, a central character in the captivating zarzuela "Walang Sugat." This experience was a profound exploration of character development and an opportunity to communicate the depth of emotions through the timeless medium of classical music.
In addition to theatrical performances, I stepped into the role of Frodo in a rendition of "Out There," where I was challenged to connect with the audience on a profound emotional level. This experience emphasized the transformative power of music in delivering a unique and resonant performance.
Opera enthusiasts will appreciate my contributions to the enchanting world of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart as I participated in "Die Zauberflöte" (The Magic Flute) as part of the supporting cast and choir. This Singspiel performance showcased the intricate beauty of Mozart's compositions, deepening my understanding of the genre.
My commitment to excellence is further exemplified by my four-year tenure as the distinguished bottom bass or Bass 2 in the esteemed St. Scholastica's College Chamber Choir. This role demanded nothing less than precision, harmony, and unwavering dedication, shaping me into a versatile and proficient vocalist.
Beyond ensemble work, I have had the privilege of shining as a soloist in various events, sharing my passion for classical singing. Equally fulfilling has been my role as a mentor, guiding and nurturing the talents of five aspiring students in classical vocal techniques through face-to-face instruction.
With this rich tapestry of experiences and expertise, I am not only confident in my ability to impart the knowledge and skills I have acquired but also deeply committed to nurturing your own musical journey. My goal is to help you become a better singer, guiding you through the intricacies of classical vocal technique and performance with professionalism and unwavering inspiration, all while celebrating the boundless potential of your musical aspirations.
