Studying with Dr Fiona Niu over the last three years has been a turning point for me. She always believed in me, even when I doubted myself. Because of her guidance, I entered my ideal secondary school and advanced to Higher Chinese. More importantly, she has helped me build confidence and aim higher than I ever thought I could.

Through the past year of learning chinese with Dr Fiona, I felt that she is very experienced and displays a flexible and relatable attitude which helped me improve quickly. She always finds a way to explain things clearly, through connecting to stories behind the phrase, or by using real life new articles which have not only expanded on my Chinese knowledge but also made me have a greater awareness of present news. She has inspired me to enjoy learning Chinese and to keep pushing myself further.

Over the past year, my child has made great strides in GCSE Chinese under Dr Niu’s teaching. She has extensive experience and always prepares lessons with a variety of resources and approaches. What impresses me most is how she adapts her methods to suit the student and keeps lessons both challenging and enjoyable. My child’s grades have improved significantly, and more importantly, she has developed a genuine interest and motivation in learning Chinese.
