About Lyra

My interest in Excel developed through working with data systems and business reporting tools during my academic and professional experience. I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology before earning a PhD in Business Information Systems. Over the last 11 years, I have helped students strengthen spreadsheet confidence through supportive teaching and practical training methods.

I believe every learner improves differently, so I adapt lessons according to technical goals, confidence level, and learning style. Some students improve through guided exercises and repetition, while others respond better to visual demonstration and project-based learning. My teaching style focuses on patience, encouragement, and balanced technical development.

Outside teaching, I enjoy studying data management systems, exploring productivity software, and learning advanced spreadsheet techniques. Staying connected to technology helps me introduce practical examples into lessons. Teaching Excel is meaningful to me because I enjoy helping students improve workplace efficiency and organisation skills.

About the lesson

My Excel lessons help students organise, calculate, and analyse data through structured spreadsheet training and practical exercises. I teach formulae, functions, charts, tables, pivot tables, filtering, formatting, and reporting methods through step-by-step explanation that makes learning simple and useful. Lessons are supportive, interactive, and focused on steady technical improvement.

Beginners improve through guided spreadsheet activities, basic formulae, and formatting exercises that gradually strengthen confidence in using Excel tools. Intermediate learners work on data analysis, chart creation, and function application through structured tasks and reporting exercises. Advanced students focus on advanced formulae, automation concepts, and professional spreadsheet management through detailed exercises and real-world applications.

I encourage students to practise regularly instead of depending completely on memorisation. Lessons support accuracy, confidence, and practical technical understanding while helping learners improve comfortably. My goal is to help students become efficient, organised, and confident Excel users.
