About Lucy
My interest in Excel developed while studying how digital tools help people organize and analyze large amounts of information. I realized that spreadsheets are extremely useful because they allow users to perform calculations quickly and present results in an organized and professional way. This curiosity encouraged me to pursue a Bachelor’s in Information Technology and later complete a Master’s in Information Systems.
During the past 8 years, I have worked with many students and professionals who wanted to improve their ability to use Excel for different tasks. Through teaching experience, I noticed that many learners initially feel uncertain about formulas and spreadsheet functions because they appear technical at first. Because of this, I focus on explaining each concept clearly and guiding students step by step until they feel comfortable using the tools independently.
My teaching style emphasizes practical understanding and consistent practice. I encourage students to experiment with different spreadsheet features and apply them to real situations such as organizing data, preparing reports, and tracking information. Helping learners develop confidence in using Excel effectively is one of the most rewarding parts of my teaching work.

My Excel lessons are designed to help students understand how spreadsheets can be used to organize, calculate, and analyze different types of information. Excel is widely used in many professional and academic environments because it allows users to work with data efficiently and present information in a clear format. In my lessons, I focus on explaining how spreadsheet tools function so learners can confidently manage data and perform calculations without confusion.
The lessons begin with the fundamental features of Excel so that beginners can develop a strong foundation. Students learn how to enter and organize data, adjust cell formatting, and perform simple calculations using formulas. After understanding the basics, learners begin exploring commonly used functions such as SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, and IF. These functions help automate calculations and make it easier to analyze information stored in spreadsheets.
As students gain more confidence, we explore more advanced tools such as sorting and filtering large datasets, applying conditional formatting, and creating charts that visually present information. Learners also practice working with pivot tables and structured reports that help summarize complex data clearly. My goal is to help students develop practical Excel skills that they can apply in academic assignments, office work, and everyday data management tasks.
