About Iain
I am a Senior Citizen..Retired.I have 50 years experiance with the Spanish/Cassical Guitar...AlthoughI had instruction from several teachers over the year I am basically Self Taught in Guitar Technique and in Reading and Interpreting Written music.My extensive life experiance makes it easier to interprete the Aire of most music..an important ability which allows you to put the YOU.. into the piece of music you are studying. Being self taught I have made many mistakes and have fallen into many bad habits.Having done so and having recognized these mistakes I can help my students avoid doing the same.

The best technique with The Spanish guitar are "Show and Go" ..Demonstration and then repetition from the student.This approach is effective in mastery of playing techniques..To really
enjoy the Spanish guitar the student should learn to read music
For an adult...Lessons can be upto 1hr. 20min Technique 20 min
Music tuition 20min studying the Aire or feeling of the piece
Younger students Lessons 30-40 min.same approach.
Student younger than 10 depending on their size often have problems holding a full sized instrument. a maximum of 20 minutes lesson is suggested.
