As a tutor my approach is personalised learning, catered to your individual needs. My lessons are aimed at children aged from 6-12 who aren’t quite grasping the fundamentals of literacy: reading, writing and spelling.
I have experience working in primary schools as an SLSO, supporting children with a wide range of additional needs. I have individualised programs catered to your child’s needs and learning style.
I always start with an assessment to assess your/ your child’s learning style and focus areas.
I will create a personalised lesson plan for a 3 month period. At the end of the 3 month period I will reassess and readjust.
Minimum session 30mins
I recommend two 45 minute sessions a week to help the student retain information. Repetition is key.
Example 45 min lesson:
5 mins discussing weekly sound.
15 mins worksheet
5 minute game
15 mins spelling list
