About Chris

For two decades, I have been an actor. For several years, I straddled the line between student, instructor, and researcher of the work. My path took me from the Northeast, where I studied theater in college, to attending acting schools, starring in independent film, and teaching acting at a modeling agency.

My trajectory was informative and empowering. I saw what was often prescribed for the ‘average’ actor, and rejected most of it. I found that the work is in direct opposition to the notions of homogeneity. There is no “one size fits all” in becoming an actor.

And because of this, I have built my foundation for “teaching” on the principle of finding what works for each individual student. As some are more attuned to an “inside-outside” approach of utilizing Meisner, others may find an emotional “trigger’ as the gateway to the empathetic authenticity that makes their character three-dimensional.

My curriculum is predicated on “troubleshooting” the vast theories to find the best avenue for that student, not only for a respective role, but their own long-term growth as an actor.

About the lesson

When it comes down to it, I'm not going to 'Teach' you acting. I mean the word 'teach' in the traditional sense of the word. Acting is not something that can be taught or learned.

What I can do is teach you the parameters that allow the emotional availability to happen. I want you all to think under that lens from now on! When one is often 'learning' something their intention is usually to force the acquisition of knowledge. I
want you to force nothing but the strict discipline and adherence to the approaches we.
