About Jennifer
I am an experienced and dedicated adult education teacher with a strong background in supporting people with a wide range of abilities, backgrounds, and learning needs.
In my professional role, I provide both one-to-one and group-based teaching, adapting my approach to suit each individual. I have experience supporting adults with literacy difficulties, dyslexia, learning disabilities, and additional learning needs, as well as helping people to develop greater confidence in their communication and everyday skills.
I understand that returning to learning as an adult can sometimes feel daunting. My approach is patient, respectful, and encouraging, and I aim to create a relaxed environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
I am reliable, organized, and genuinely enjoy helping people develop skills that can make a practical difference in their everyday lives. Most importantly, I believe learning should be adapted to the person — not that the person should have to adapt to the lesson.

I believe that everyone learns differently, so my lessons are patient, supportive and tailored to the individual. I start by getting to know each learner, what they would like to improve and how they learn best. From there, I create lessons that work towards their own personal goals and build confidence at a comfortable pace.
I can provide support with reading, writing, spelling, grammar, everyday English and general literacy skills. I can also support learners with dyslexia, learning disabilities and additional learning needs, as well as adults who speak English as an additional language.
Lessons are typically one hour and take place online. I use a mixture of conversation, practical activities, worksheets and real-life examples, depending on the learner's needs and goals.
I am an experienced adult education teacher and currently work with adults with a wide range of abilities and learning needs. My work involves teaching, one-to-one support, adapting learning materials and helping people develop their skills, independence and confidence.
My lessons are primarily for **adults aged 18+**, from beginners to those who simply want additional support with their literacy or English skills. There is no judgement and no expectation that everyone should learn at the same pace — lessons are designed around the individual.
