MY TEACHING METHODOLOGY Critical to my tutoring approach is: 1. Building confidence - the students I have worked with have shown amazing progress with patience, encouragement and praise. 2. Alignment with the Victorian Curriculum - I ensure my lesson plans have a clear link to the VCAA F-10 achievement standards. 3. Fun- I strongly believe in a love of learning! I use gamification and rewards in my sessions because research shows that this is the most effective way for students to absorb new information. Things I DON'T do: - Show up to a tutoring session unprepared. - Rely on a student's homework as a basis of a session (unless requested). - Reprimand a student for getting something wrong or struggling to focus. INCLUDED IN THE PRICE -Travel to and from your home (or a nominated location) -Time spent preparing a lesson plan ahead of the session -Student progress reports emailed to you periodically -Games and 'take-home' prizes for students to make sure lessons are fun! -Liaison with school teacher (when requested) CHILD SAFETY I am trained in and committed to child safety. MY current WWC check and Police Check will be provided on request. A parent/guardian must be present in the home at ALL TIMES during tuition. LOCATION/TRAVEL I am available to tutor in Gladstone Park, Tullamarine, Gladstone Park, Mickleham, Glenroy, Broadmeadows, Westmeadows, Dallas, Aberfeldie, Attwood, Greenvale, Coolaroo, Meadow Heights, Airport West Pascoe Vale and Coolaroo. Other locations may incur a travel fee of $5-$10 per session (location & traffic dependent). All Craigieburn session will incur a travel fee of $12 per session.

Perfect! Emma is always happy and enthusiastic. Most importantly for our family, Emma is amazing with neurodivergent students. She understands their challenges, promotes their strength and radiates a "You can do this" vibe which is contagious. I highly recommend Emma. She is a game changer.
