About Lokyi

I have been teaching Japanese for 5 years. I have experience in teaching both children and adults. I got a bachelor degree in Liberal studies focus on teaching. I have a lot of students who are very happy with my teaching methods and ideas. I can also come up with unique and innovative lesson plans to fit each student's needs.
I am super passionate about languages. I am a Cantonese native, but have been teaching various language for several years.
I have had a lot of experience in learning foreign languages, therefore I know what the potential challenges are . Knowing how hard it is to learn a different language, I strive to come up with innovative and tailor lesson plan and ideas to help individual student to get the best outcome out of each class.
I am a very hardworking and efficient person. My goal is to help all my students getting the most out of each lesson, and eventually be confident enough to speak a different language. Being able to speak a different language not only changes how we see things ( in a very POSITIVE way), but it also brings out new experience.

About the lesson

I focus on translation skill. It is important to know how to translate your thought (in English) to Japanese.
I pay a lot of attention to listening and speaking (I know speaking in a foreign language can be intimidating).
I push you out of your comfort zone bit by bit till you fully understand how much you can do. Our fear and negative mindset is our Biggest enemy!
