About George
In my seven years of guitar teaching experience, I’ve always focused on creating a balance between solid technical instruction and creative expression. Every student I’ve worked with—especially those in school and college—comes to me with a different motivation, and it’s my job to honor that while guiding them toward long-term skill development. We begin with core skills: proper hand posture, scale and chord fundamentals, rhythm accuracy, and tone control. But I always pair those with engaging material—songs the student enjoys, improvisational games, and custom exercises that make practice feel rewarding. I’m a firm believer that creativity should be a part of learning from day one. Whether it’s composing a short melody or building their own chord progression, students begin crafting music early in their journey. I’ve had the privilege of guiding several students through writing and recording their first songs, helping them understand arrangement, lyric writing, and basic recording tools. These projects often spark a deeper love for music that stays with them for years. My role as a teacher is not only to instruct but to inspire. I provide structure, patience, and feedback, but I also create room for exploration, risk-taking, and joy.

Learning to play the guitar is a journey of discovery, and I am here to guide you every step of the way. My teaching philosophy is centered on the belief that music is a powerful form of self-expression that everyone can access, regardless of age or background.

We start with the basics, building a strong technical foundation that includes proper posture, finger placement, and strumming techniques. As we progress, we incorporate real songs into our lessons, allowing you to apply what you've learned in a practical context. This approach not only reinforces technical skills but also keeps the learning process enjoyable and motivating.
I believe in the importance of active learning, so I encourage you to experiment, make mistakes, and learn from them. Each challenge is an opportunity for growth, and I am here to provide guidance and support as you navigate the learning process. I also emphasize the development of musicality, helping you to understand rhythm, melody, and harmony, and how to convey emotion through your playing. Performance is an integral part of the learning experience, and I prepare you for the stage by focusing on confidence, expression, and audience engagement.
Throughout our lessons, I provide constructive feedback that highlights your progress and identifies areas for improvement, always with the goal of empowering you to become a confident and expressive guitarist.
