About Emma
Hello! I’m a passionate and versatile educator with a strong love for the Malay language and a heart for teaching. I hold a Master’s Degree in Engineering Science (Nanotechnology) and have a diverse professional background. In my 20s, I served as a teacher and research officer, where I gained valuable academic and instructional experience. From 2015 to 2022, I worked as a Senior Real Estate Negotiator, developing strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. I’m currently a part-time Takaful Advisor, while my main role is being a full-time homemaker and devoted mother to a child with cerebral palsy. This life experience has deepened my patience, empathy, and resilience—qualities I bring into every lesson I teach. I now offer Bahasa Melayu lessons tailored to: • Primary and Secondary School Students • Foreigners who wish to learn conversational or written Malay for daily life, work, or social integration I also run a personal blog, where I occasionally share thoughts and writings—another way to reflect my language skills and passion for communication. My Bahasa Melayu lessons are designed to suit the individual needs of each student, whether you’re a young learner or a foreigner starting from zero. I believe that language learning should be practical, enjoyable, and empowering.
Here’s what I offer:
1. For Primary & Secondary Students:
• Mastering school syllabus (KSSR/KSSM)
• Grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure
• Reading comprehension and writing skills
• Essay techniques (karangan)
• Preparation for exams (UPSR/PT3/SPM-style guidance)
• Fun learning with real-life examples and interactive exercises
• Support for students who are slow learners or need extra patience
2. For Foreigners:
• Basic to intermediate conversational Malay
• Daily phrases and real-life situations (shopping, greetings, directions, etc.)
• Introduction to Malay culture and polite language
• Writing and reading simple Malay texts
• Flexible pace, based on your comfort level and learning goals
Lesson Style:
• One-on-one or small group sessions
• Available online or in-person (depending on location)
• Calm, supportive, and clear teaching style
• Focused on building confidence and real understanding—not just memorizing
