About Luke

I have graduated the HSC as a Distinguished Achiever with a high ATAR and I am also a trained coaching centre teacher, primary school student mentor and current university student. I have a valid “Working with Children” check, which qualifies me to teach children.

My professional obligation as a tutor is to strive for the peak academic achievement of students of any age and academic ability.

As a life-long student myself, I have a strong passion towards teaching students and utilising empathy in regards to understanding their ability, motivations and conceptualisation, at any point in time.

About the lesson

I teach many various subjects surrounding maths, science and advanced English from K-12. I offer highly-efficient and affordable lessons at discounted prices. I am more than happy to travel to the student’s home, school or any public location at your convenience.

For High-school Students:
I strive to support all the learning needs of any high-school student to help achieve their own goals, at any level.

Flexibility in supporting the individual learning methods of any high-school student will allow for a most efficient pathway toward their success. This includes providing the student with the reassurance of a comprehensive conceptual approach to high-school topics or the integration of rote-learning methods.

I specialise in teaching many various high-school subjects, so please ask me about which specific subjects are needed. I can also provide a collection of textbooks and learning notes, as well as around-the-clock assistance with any assignment tasks.

For Primary School Students:
My vision toward academic excellence is achieved through establishing a professional relationship of trust and support with the child, which will help in overcoming behavioural obstacles toward primary school learning.

Achieving academic excellence is too abstract to motivate a young child to learn in Primary school, therefore a system of positive reinforcement and open communication with parents - if needed - will be used to develop a child’s learning attitude.

The innate curiosity and fascination which drives every child to learning will be fostered to develop an eager attitude toward independent learning and discipline, in spite of their young age and undeveloped work ethic.

My regular pricing structure (without discounts/promotions) is as follows:

K-3: $35/hour
Years 4-6: $45/hour
OC and Selective Class Programs: $50/hour

Years 7-10: $45/hour
Preliminary and HSC Subjects: $50/hour

- $5 travel cost may apply for distant travel
