About Helen
Experienced mature aged teacher with 18 years teaching experience in both Qld and NSW. Having taught extensively in secondary, state and primary school situations I have had a wide variety of teaching roles. I am registered in Qld as a TESOL teacher.

I am experienced in delivering differentiated lessons, within a short time of assessing children in my grades so that I know how they learn and what is required to prepare suitable lessons to meet the needs of all of my students. I use scaffolding when required for students with extra needs and explicit teaching when required. I also use some co-operative learning groups, to support less vocal students and others who need additional help. Students seem to learn a lot from peers as well as teachers. Assessment and feedback is used consistently. I am very computer literate and have an Advanced Certificate in Computing.

Details
No would depend on where I had to travel. I would prefer a Brisbane school in travelling distance from Kadlunga Court. I would ideally like to use public transport so would like a school accessible to buses/trains. I have not done a lot of metropolitan driving therefore might appreciate some accessibility to Public transport until I gain more experience in city driving.
