I have good tutor reviews and hold a Graduate Diploma in Educational Studies.

My teaching style is adaptive, student-centred, and grounded in both empathy and structure. I believe that every learner brings a unique set of strengths, experiences, and challenges to the table, so I aim to meet them where they are — academically and emotionally — and support them in reaching their full potential.
I primarily use a scaffolded approach: I start by breaking down complex concepts into manageable parts, use clear examples to build understanding, and gradually release responsibility to the student as their confidence grows. For skills-based learning, I often use the PPP method (Present, Practise, Produce) or a guided inquiry approach, depending on the learner’s needs. I also integrate questioning techniques that promote critical thinking and reflection, encouraging students not just to get the right answer, but to explain their reasoning and understand the “why” behind it.

Support goes beyond academic instruction. I foster a learning environment that is respectful, affirming, and growth-oriented. I check in regularly with students to assess both their academic progress and well-being. Whether it’s providing extra resources, giving timely and constructive feedback, or simply being a patient listener, I aim to empower students to become more independent and resilient learners.

Ultimately, my goal is to make learning meaningful and enjoyable, while helping students take ownership of their success.

About the lesson

I have several years of experience tutoring students with a focus on both academic excellence and learner confidence. I tailor each lesson to the student’s specific academic needs, learning style, and long-term goals.
As an educator, I combine structured lesson planning with flexibility to respond to a student’s evolving understanding. I often use scaffolded questioning, real-world examples, and visual or interactive tools to support comprehension—especially for abstract or complex concepts.

For online tutoring, I integrate screen-sharing, virtual whiteboards, and collaborative documents to create a dynamic and engaging learning experience.
In addition to individual tuition, I’ve supported exam revision workshops and group classes, helping students build confidence and exam technique. Many of my students come from non-English-speaking backgrounds, so I’m experienced in language support, vocabulary building, and writing skills. I also help high school students with university admissions essays, academic CVs, and interview preparation.

What sets me apart is my commitment to student growth beyond academics. I actively support motivation, critical thinking, and self-directed learning. Several students have told me they feel “seen and supported” in a way they don’t experience elsewhere—which I take as the highest compliment.
