About Grace
Hi, I’m Grace and I have just finish my A-levels. I got into tutoring by helping a friend out and it’s expanded from there into teaching multiple people in different subjects. I now absolutely love spreading my passion for the subjects, especially biology.
I’m wanting to study Biomedical Science at university and hope to go into research or the NHS as a career prospect.
I’m a kind and compassionate person, volunteering at a local primary school to create an outdoor kids club for them to enjoy nature. The time, resilience and organisation put into each week is worth it when you see the joy that each child has and the personal milestones each reach.
I always want to help and am a strong believer in communication. Any issue or struggle I want to know about and help, making a safe space for any concerns.

I mostly tutor online GCSE AQA Biology of any combination (higher, foundation, separate or combined). However, I know how each science interlinks and how some pupils need to support of all 3 so I have expanded and also tutor GCSE AQA Chemistry and Physic, so that it’s simpler for people to get what they need out of the sessions, focused on what they need most help with. I would also be willing to tutor A-level OCR biology as I have finished with the course and have an in depth grasp on every aspect being named Biology Student of the Year within my sixth form.
Each student has their own way of learning and I adapt to whatever they need. However, my typical method of working is to go over the content of a topic with a clear focus on the specification whilst writing the key points down for them to view. After I am confident they understand, I move onto old exam questions based on a topic. This gains them experience, pointing out anywhere that the exam board try to catch people out and typical mistakes using the mark scheme to explain the “best” or “most wanted” answer to the question.
I have had over a year of experience with multiple different levelled students and have adapted to each of their preferred ways, constantly checking that it still works with them throughout the course.
I have no typical time length, doing anything between 45 mins to 2 hours. As a standard I would always say an hour but it depends on each person. I would argue that for most individuals a longer session is better than 2 smaller ones as there is greater flexibility and coverage in the time.
I will always try to tailor learning to individual knowing that we are all different, especially making arrangements for SEN. I know personally how much a little can go a long way to making content more accessible.
