About Matthew
I am an experienced speedcuber who has gained recognition throughout the Canadian cubing community. I have been involved in the sport since 2016, where I became very intrigued about speedcubing as it has been part of my personality since. My first notable cubing achievement was when I qualified for 3x3x3 finals at the North American Championships in 2022, being 1 of the 4 Canadians who qualified for that final (only 16 people in all of North American qualified). Since then, I have been sponsored by Cubing Out Loud which happens to be the largest Canadian-owned cubing shop. I have held one Canadian National Record, which was the Megaminx Average with a result of 39.04 seconds placing me 45th globally at the time. My other notable achievement includes being the 2025 3x3x3 One Handed Canadian Champion. My specialized WCA events are 3x3x3, 3x3x3 One Handed, Megaminx and Square-1. 2x2x2, 3x3x3, 4x4x4, 5x5x5, 3x3x3 One Handed, Megaminx, Square-1
If you are looking to get faster at any of the following listed above, contact me for more details so that I can get to know what your level stands at.
However if you are new to this hobby and you want to learn how to solve any of the following puzzles, I will also be willing to teach it.
I offer the following two services:
-One on one video call for an hour, where I share my techniques and ideology to solving a puzzle so you can know what to improve on. It would be recommended to have a POV camera on the video call, just so that it is easier for me to critique you and see what you can improve on. You can also ask me any cubing related questions throughout the hour.
-An edited video where you send me clips of your solves (in the format of an average of 5 solves) and I reply back with a critique on your solves and how they can be improved upon (your solve clips are edited into the final video which will be sent back to you).
