Hi! I’m Sheerin, I am an experienced English tutor with my independent business, Evolve Tutoring, which is located in the Sydney Hills District. I have been teaching English for over three years, and during this time, I’ve had the pleasure of working with a diverse group of students. My approach is all about tailoring lessons to suit your unique learning style and needs, I am committed to providing a supportive learning environment to all students! I am dedicated to providing exceptional tutoring services to students seeking to achieve their academic goals. As a qualified and experienced tutor, I strive to empower students with the knowledge and skills they need to excel in their English studies. I achieved excellent results in my HSC, including scoring in the top band for English, Legal Studies, and English Extension 1. Currently, I’m undergoing studies in law and journalism at UTS, these courses have allowed me to gain a strong portfolio of legal essays and journalistic texts.

This is all accredited to my unique tutoring approach that teaches students how to be confident and successful learners beyond the classroom.

About the lesson

I offer personalised tutoring tailored to each student. I use a wide range of applications including: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Powerpoint, OneNote, Canva, Notion, Youtube, Google Docs, and Web Whiteboard.

Lessons typically go for an hour to ensure comprehensive learning, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and check in with the student to ensure they understand the content. There is a guided learning component that works as a 'mini-workshop' to teach students strategies and then they will apply this in the independent learning part of the lesson. This gives students the opportunity to apply these strategies and receive immediate feedback from me.
