About Meizi

I have been teaching Chinese for more than two years. I taught more than 28 students from the UK, US, Australia, France, Italy, Spain, Geneva, Austria, Sweden, Africa, Japan, South Korea, with different levels of Chinese (Mandarin). I received many good feedbacks from them. I have boosted their Mandarin level in few lessons, as well as helped them passed HSK exams. In addition to that, they also appreciated my teaching method. I have lots of experience with Chinese studying and working. I also got another Master degree in the UK and have been living in Scotland since graduation. So I know how to learn another language and use it in daily life.

About the lesson

I always set up customised lessons for all levels and always correct pronunciation and tones. I will always share helpful links with you. For beginners, you will begin learning from pinyin that is the basic knowledge in Chinese. For those who want to improve their speaking, we can talk about any topics you preferred. I will always be very patient to help you speak natively and more confidently. For those who are preparing for HSK, we learn through HSK textbooks and workbooks and have real-life conversations based on the topics in the textbook. In the process, you will learn more native expressions. After lesson, I am also happy to revise your homework in voice or writing and give feedback.

Perfect! I was a bit nervous before my first session with Meizi as I haven't attempted to learn a new language for many years. Meizi put me immediately at ease though and has been a fantastic tutor. She's very patient and really takes the time to help with pronunciation, never getting frustrated even when I keep getting the same things wrong. The lessons seem to fly by as Meizi is very engaging, whilst keeping the lesson well structured. She is also always willing to answer my questions, and provides notes on the lessons afterwards, meaning I can refine my learning offline. I would highly recommend her to adult learners like myself, and am sure she is wonderful with younger students too.
