I met Anton on the Superprof platform. I was a complete beginner in chess at the time and I wanted to start playing more often and more seriously. I chose him as my tutor and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made.

From there we worked through openings. he explained not just what to play but the ideas behind each one, so I understood the reasoning rather than just memorising moves. Then he explained how to read a position, how to handle different situations on the board, when to attack, when to hold back, and how to think a few moves ahead.

What really stands out about Anton is his patience and the way he explains things. He never made me feel stupid for asking basic questions, and he clearly knows how to teach, not just how to play.
