About Chris
I have been a journalist and teaching staff professional for the past 25 years. I've run chess clubs at a few differerent schools, both primary and secondary. I currently work as a teaching assistant, supporting kids with their educational and emotional needs, and as a sports coach.
I have also taught hundreds of adults over the years how to play chess. I have a real passion for the game, am very professional and friendly, and keen for people to enjoy playing and improving.

I can work with beginners of any age. I've taught hundreds of people over the years, including private sessions with adults and classes with kids. I use the English Chess Federation teaching methods. My students have gone on to be very proficient at chess and several have entered tournaments and now play regularly.
