About Filippo
Reflecting on my experience, I owe much of my emotional, cultural and intellectual growth to music, which I consider an invaluable teacher and a wonderful art. It had a profound impact on my life, and forms the core of who I am today. For this reason, teaching plays a central role in my life and a necessary complement to performing. I consider myself very fortunate in having the opportunity to share my passion and knowledge with my students, guiding and inspiring them in this enriching journey.

I run my private teaching practice in Greenwich, Southeast London. I have taught piano students of all ages and all abilities for twenty years, and have extensive experience teaching both very young children as well as advanced students. I have successfully guided many students aged 4 and 5 to read music, memorise and perform in recitals, often within the span of one year. I have also guided students to Diploma and beyond, often leading to admission to music conservatoires and universities. My lessons aim to meet the unique needs of each student. My goal is to offer comprehensive guidance through performance, technique, sight-reading, theory, and music history.
