About Khaliah
Hi! My name is Khaliah, and I am a certified elementary and special education teacher currently teaching fourth grade in Virginia. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Virginia and am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction.
Over the past three years, I have worked with a diverse range of learners, including English Language Learners, students with disabilities, and students performing both above and below grade level. I am passionate about helping students build strong mathematical foundations, develop problem-solving skills, and gain confidence in their abilities.
My students' success reflects my commitment to high-quality, personalized instruction. During the 2023–2024 and 2024–2025 school years, 100% of my students passed the Virginia Mathematics SOL assessment. This past school year, 80% of my students passed the assessment despite the rigorous standards and diverse learning needs within my classroom. Through engaging lessons and targeted support, I help students strengthen their understanding of math concepts while building the confidence needed to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
I believe every student can be successful in math when they receive instruction that is tailored to their individual strengths, needs, and learning goals.

I believe every student can succeed in math with the right support and encouragement. My lessons are tailored to each student's needs, whether they are building foundational skills, mastering grade-level concepts, or preparing for assessments. I have experience working with English Language Learners, students with disabilities, and learners at a variety of skill levels.
Using engaging, student-centered strategies, I help students strengthen their mathematical understanding, build confidence, and develop problem-solving skills. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to take on challenges and achieve success in math.
