About Saikiran

I’m Saikiran, originally from Chennai, India, and now based in Dublin, where I’m completing an MBA at Trinity College Dublin. Teaching has been a constant thread through my life for over 15 years, running alongside a separate career in business operations and leadership.

I started out as a part-time verbal trainer back in 2009, and what began as a side interest became a genuine passion. Since then, I’ve worked as a CELTA-qualified English trainer, an IELTS examiner, a Cambridge International Assessment Specialist, and an OET interlocutor, while also building a full career leading operations and teams at organisations like Cambridge University Press, Byju’s, and most recently as Director of Business Operations at a technology company I helped scale from 70 to 200+ people.

I genuinely enjoy teaching. There’s something I find deeply satisfying about watching a student go from feeling stuck or anxious about an exam to walking in confident and prepared. Outside of tutoring, I read and write regularly, I love to travel, and I’m usually got something I’m watching on the go. I also volunteer, having taught English to underprivileged children for over a thousand hours and mentored young people through a government skilling programme back home.

I speak English, Hindi, and Tamil fluently, and I can also read and speak Telugu and Kannada, which means I’m comfortable connecting with students from a range of backgrounds.

Moving to Dublin and starting this new chapter has made me appreciate how much a good teacher, or just someone who genuinely takes the time to help you understand something, can change your trajectory. That’s what I try to be for my students, whatever subject or exam I’m helping them with.

I bring over 15 years of experience as a trainer and examiner to every lesson, so you’re learning from someone who doesn’t just teach the test, but who has sat on the other side of it. I’m a Cambridge CELTA-qualified trainer, a former IELTS Speaking & Writing Examiner, a Cambridge International Assessment Specialist, and an OET Interlocutor, which means I understand exactly what examiners are listening and looking for, and I teach accordingly.

I offer tailored lessons in GMAT, GRE (Verbal and overall strategy), SAT, IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, and Business English and communication. Whether you’re aiming for a top score to get into business school, preparing for an English proficiency test for study or work abroad, or looking to sharpen your professional communication skills, I build lessons around your specific goals, current level, and timeline, rather than teaching from a generic script.

My approach is practical and structured: clear explanations, realistic practice material, honest feedback, and a focus on the techniques that actually move your score, not just general tips. I’ve designed and delivered training programmes for working professionals and students alike, including senior managers preparing to communicate confidently with international clients, so I’m comfortable teaching learners at every level, from beginners building foundational skills to advanced students chasing a specific target score.

I’m currently based in Dublin, completing an MBA at Trinity College Dublin, and I bring the same rigour and attention to detail from my professional background in operations and governance into how I run my lessons: organised, outcome-focused, and genuinely invested in your progress.
