I think that learning shouldn't be theoretical, impersonal, and intimidating. What I do is explain things clearly, provide guided practice, give feedback and provide individualized assistance based on each student's goal and level.
In my lessons, I identify areas of need, strengths and areas for development of the student. We then go through the topic to progressively build up the ideas, with examples and exercises to help make difficult concepts easier to understand. I want students to ask questions and as much as possible, to participate and not memorize.
A typical lesson starts with a brief recap of the previous lesson, before introducing the topic of the current lesson. We then go through examples together, do some practice and end with feedback and specific recommendations. For writing lessons I am also able to help students with improving structure, grammar, clarity, organization, vocabulary and overall presentation of their writing by reviewing their work and giving them feedback on how to make improvements.
The distinction of what makes me stand out is that I work with both academic and professional writing. Improving the students' English, as well as making them confident and express their ideas clearly. I tailor each lesson to your personal goal whether you are working on your thesis, your resume, an academic project or general English skills.
Students who are high school or university students, undergraduate students or anyone who wants to enhance their English, academic writing, thesis writing, resume preparation or professional communication skills, can take my lessons.
